“Written with the typical “MeidLinger L” Bill Leeb visited Vienna with Front Line Assembly. A short but intense show, strong beats with strong harsh lights were slamed into the crowd- by Christian Messner

Front Line Assembly

The hand that beats you!

“This short but intense show was fun to see and hear. A lot of strobe light, direct light or no light. A nervous finger on the trigger to assemble a nice shot. Black, black, perfect white, nahh again and again. Kind a missing my fast 30D which was muuuch faster, but viva la resolution!

So here we go, the drum beater of hamelin is gatherin’ the industrial rats and hypnotize them with harsh rythems. We kept staring at the stage, asking ourselves – no bonus songs? Well, maybe next time!”  - by Christian Messner

Alec Empire (Atari Teenage Riot)

Smell The Sound

” This Show was extraordinary intense! From the beginning to the end, strobe light directed at the audience and synchronized with the hard technobeat. So, I had to be quick, to get a good shot and burst-mode was a must. “First three songs and NO flash allowed”, were the instructions before the show started. After the first song I had tears in my eyes ‘cos of all that stroboscopic flash lights. This is a revenge, against all flashing photographers I thought. Anyway. The impressive equipment tower of Nic Endo is about two meters high, but thanks to her high-heel boots everything could be reached. Her hot Look, transformed to sound and vibes finally reached the sub woofers and simply melted them away. Atari Teenage Riot at it’s best! ”- by Christian Messner

Could Be King B.

” This flaming head rocked yesterday, at the Szene Wien until the last row of the audience moved their feet. Really great and entertaining show of the World Inferno Friendship Society. Big thanks to the Gravity Line Festival Organisation for givin’ me the opportunity to take some photos of them. ”- by Christian Messner

Danced The Walz?

” Do I have a faible for Bass Players? I remember bassists just stayin’ in the background and leaning onto the amp. Well, this great bassist is the absolute opposite and knows how to pose aswell. Sandra Malak, bassist and background vocalist of World Inferno Friendship Society visited Vienna yesterday. Of course with all the other guys and girls of the band and showed us how to dance the waltz. ”- by Christian Messner
